River Lume
This is my music for TV/Advertising. It’s a lot of latin-infused instrumentals, but with some surprising things thrown in. One of the most popular is called “Blood In The Bayou” that I did with a collaborator Spearfisher. It’s likely the most listened-to piece of music I’ve ever put out (that’s what TV/streaming placements will get ya!)

APL
This is my songwriting project from years ago. I recently wrote about the origins of the first album here (it turned into a 4 part series). I released 3 full albums and a few EP’s. It’s indie folk/rock from the late 2000’s.

Songs Of Jalico
This is a project with my brother, Nathan, and my cousin, Tim Bailey. A year or two ago we went out to Nathan’s 100 year old adobe house in the high desert of New Mexico. I brought my recording equipment and set it up in his living room. The goal was to get down some of the songs we had been writing about a fictional character named Jalico P. Comfreemee. It turns out both Tim and I had Covid during this trip, bringing down the energy a bit, but we ended up with 3 songs that felt good enough to release. We had the pleasure of working with our friend, Graham, on drums.

Disaster Lover
This was a project I worked on with drummer Sam Huff about 10 years ago. For the initial EP, we devised a system where I attached sensors to his drums which triggered certain sounds on my computer. So, Sam would kinda be ‘playing’ my laptop with his drums (the bass always follows his kick, for example). I could change chords and add stuff like vocals on top. I was deep into a Talking Heads phase, so that had some influence on how it came out. A few years later we followed up with a full on electronic-style album. Listening back, I really like the weirdness of the first EP, plus I’m a sucker for novel ways of making music, and this was one.
Beep Beep Kids
When you have young kids, you just end up in kid-head-space a lot, so it’s inevitably leads to kids music. We only have only have one recorded (which Lucia sings on). Diana and I made a little stop motion video! We have a ton of other songs but just need to get them recorded :)
I have new projects coming up that will likely jump to the top of the list. When they arrive, they’ll show up here!
Film Scoring + Others
I’ve done a lot of music for other mediums, like dance, short films, TV series, web-series etc. This stuff is harder to link to, due to paywalls, streaming services etc. But, there are certain projects that have been really cool… so as I find those, along with decent links, I’ll put them up here.
